News worth spreading

In the spirit of ideas that are worth spreading TED created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local self-organized events that bring people together to share TED-like experiences. Our event is TEDxRio, where the “x” = “independently organized TED event.” At TEDxRio, videos of lectures (TEDTalks) and live speakers will combine in such a way as to stimulate connections and discussions that will have local, regional and global reach. The TED Conference provides general guidelines for the TEDx program but the TEDx events are organized by a dedicated team of professionals, not involving TED.
